At its plenary meeting on 4 March 2016, ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 6 noted that, according to an agreement co-signed by the "Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL)" (Administration representing Sri Lanka in the ITU) and by the "Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI)" (organization representing Sri Lanka in ISO), TRCSL is the registration authority for this OID. This decision was further noted by ITU-T SG17 at its plenary meeting on 23 March 2016.
