At its plenary meeting in April 2013, ITU-T SG 17 noted that, according to an agreement signed by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), now called Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (MDES), as the organization representing Thailand at the ITU and by the Thai Industrial Standards Institute as the ISO Member Body for Thailand, MDES is the Registration Authority for the country OID for Thailand. This will was further noted by ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 6 at its plenary meeting on 21 June 2013.
