At its plenary meeting on 23 Apr 2021, ITU-T Study Group 17 noted that, according to an agreement between the Ministry of Science, Energy and Technology (MSET) (Administration representing Jamaica in the ITU) and the Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ) (organization representing Jamaica in ISO), eGov Jamaica Limited is the registration authority for the country OID of Jamaica. This was further noted by ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 6 at its plenary meeting on 9 Sep 2021.
On 2 Apr 2025, eGov Jamaica has been renamed "ICT Authority".
