According to Standards Australia's document MP-75:1996 "Strategies for the implementation of a Public Key Authentication Framework (PKAF) in Australia", Australian companies may use their 11-digit Australian Company Number (ACN) or 9-digit Australian Business Number (ABN) (without leading zeros) to deduce their OID (e.g. ACN 073 665 175 becomes OID 1.2.36.73665175), without needing to directly contact Standards Australia. The ABN includes the ACN.
