"The value of aluRS232ChanGroupCRC variable indicates the precision of
the cyclic redundancy check. A value of 'crc16' is a 16-bit
CRC calculation. A value of 'crc32' is a 32-bit CRC
calculation. 32-bit CRC increases the error detection ability,
but it also adds some performance overhead."
