"This is the ATM Port Alarm Status. The possible values are:
cleared(0) - LOS, AIS and RDI conditions are not present
los(1) - the LOS condition is present
ais(2) - AIS condition is present (LOS condition is not present)
rdi(4) - RDI condition is present (LOS and AIS conditions are not present)
Note: Alarm conditions (from the SONET/SDH standard documents) are:
LOS - Loss Of Signal
AIS - Alarm Indication Signal
RDI - Remote Defect Indication"
