"The IP address of a management station is used
to localize the corresponding event filter in the
event filter table (see rtpEvtFilterTable).
Each octet of this value represents one part (byte) of
the IP address; 4 bytes for IPv4 or 8 bytes for IPv6.
(IPv6 is only prepared but not yet supported!)"
