hwPtpBitsClockClass OBJECT-TYPE
SYNTAX Integer32 (0..255)
MAX-ACCESS read-create
STATUS current
DESCRIPTION
"The clockClass attribute of an ordinary or boundary clock denotes the traceability of the time or frequency
distributed by the grandmaster clock.
BC:
Range: 0-255
1. 6 - indicates that shall designate a clock that is synchronized to a primary reference time source. The timescale distributed shall
be PTP. A clockClass 6 clock shall not be a slave to another clock in the domain
2. 7 - indicates that shall designate a clock that has previously been designated as clockClass 6 but that has lost the ability to
synchronize to a primary reference time source and is in holdover mode and within holdover specifications. The timescale
distributed shall be PTP. A clockClass 7 clock shall not be a slave to another clock in the domain
3. 13 - indicates that shall designate a clock that is synchronized to an application-specific source of time. The timescale
distributed shall be ARB. A clockClass 13 clock shall not be a slave to another clock in the domain
4. 14 - indicates that shall designate a clock that has previously been designated as clockClass 13 but that has lost the ability to
synchronize to an application-specific source of time and is in holdover mode and within holdover specifications.
The timescale distributed shall be ARB. A clockClass 14 clock shall not be a slave to another clock in the domain
5. 52 - indicates that degradation alternative A for a clock of clockClass 7 that is not within holdover specification. A clock of
clockClass 52 shall not be a slave to another clock in the domain
6. 58 - indicates that degradation alternative A for a clock of clockClass 14 that is not within holdover specification. A clock of
clockClass 58 shall not be a slave to another clock in the domain
7. 187 - indicates that degradation alternative B for a clock of clockClass 7 that is not within holdover specification. A clock of
clockClass 187 may be a slave to another clock in the domain
8. 193 - indicates that degradation alternative B for a clock of clockClass 14 that is not within holdover specification. A clock of
clockClass 193 may be a slave to another clock in the domain
9. 248 - indicates that default. This clockClass shall be used if none of the other clockClass definitions apply
10. 255 - indicates that shall be the clockClass of a slave-only clock
Default: 6
T-BC:

3. 135 - T-BC in holdover, within holdover specification, traceable or non-traceable to Category 1 frequency source
4. 140 - T-GM in holdover, out of holdover specification, traceable to Category 1 frequency source
5. 150 - T-GM in holdover, out of holdover specification, traceable to Category 2 frequency source
6. 160 - T-GM in holdover, out of holdover specification, traceable to Category 3 frequency source
7. 165 - T-BC in holdover, out of holdover specification
