OID description

OID: (ASN.1 notation)
(dot notation)
(OID-IRI notation)

Description:

multiIfMainAdminStatus OBJECT-TYPE
SYNTAX INTEGER {up(1), -- ready to pass packets
down(2)}
MAX-ACCESS read-create
STATUS current
DESCRIPTION
"The desired state of the interface. This object
can be set only when the ifMainRowStatus of the
interface is active. This object has the semantics
of the ifAdminStatus of the standard ifTable.
When a managed system initializes, all
interfaces start with ifMainAdminStatus in the
down(2) state, it's a default state also. As a result
of either explicit management action or per
configuration information retained by the managed
system, ifMainAdminStatus is then changed to
the up (1) state (or remains in the
down(2) state)."
DEFVAL {down}
