The Space Assigned Numbers Authority (SANA) is the registrar function for the protocol registries created under CCSDS. SANA was created by CCSDS Yellow Book 313.0-Y-3 which defines SANA's roles, responsibilities and procedures. SANA Registry Management Policy is defined in CCSDS Yellow Book 313.1-Y-2. SANA's operation is provided by Viagénie under the secretariat of CCSDS.
