### Description

National administrations of ITU Member States

**Classification**: Country; Registration authority

### Supplementary information

According to Rec. ITU-T X.660 \| ISO/IEC 9834-1, clause A.2.5, child OIDs have the values of Data Country Codes (DCCs) as defined in [Rec. ITU-T X.121](https://www.itu.int/myworkspace/t-rec/item?id=5161&lang=en) (this OID repository is aligned with the list of Data Country or Geographical Area Codes issued on 15 Mar 2011). Each country should be assigned at least one 3-digit DCC (according to clause 7.2.7 of Rec. ITU-T X.121, the first digit is restricted to digits `2-7`). Subsequent OIDs (of the DCC) are allocated as necessary by the [Administration of the country](https://www.itu.int/hub/membership/our-members/directory/?myitu-members-directory=true&request=search-companies) identified by the DCC.

DCCs are followed by a network digit (`0` to `9`) to create Data Network Identification Codes (DNIC) identifying up to 10 public data networks. DNICs are registered under [`{itu-t(0) network-operator(3)}`](https://oid-base.com/get-md/0.3).

This OID is used for example in [Rec. ITU-T Q.1902.3](https://itu.int/ITU-T/Q.1902.3), clause 6.48.
